“Glenn Beck claims only “hookers” depend on Planned Parenthood”

On his Monday show, Glenn Beck played the tape of Lawrence O’Donnell’s tearing up while he read a letter from a friend of his describing her need for Planned Parenthood’s services.

Halfway through Beck stopped the tape and said “Hookers? Who depends on Planned Parenthood?” He then impersonated the woman, who said she had had an abortion.

“I’ve got 400 abortions that I have to have!” Beck said. “I have to have these children aborted!” He and his co-hosts then continued making fun of O’Donnell and the woman for several minutes more.

No, Glenn Beck, you’re wrong. One in five American women visit Planned Parenthood in their lifetime. Reblog if you’re one of them.

Nice reminder of not just the wealth of services PP actually offers, but that sex workers deserve the same basic health care as we all do.
